The functional design of the Tom Sachs x Nike NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe “Archive” is in accordance with the tongue-in-cheek marketing slogan, “Creativity is the enemy.” The low-top features a yellow mesh upper with matching suede overlays and a contrasting white Swoosh, which is inspired by Sachs’ ongoing research into how “our bodies contact the ground.” Orange webbing tabs help with simple on and off and are located at the tongue and heel. The black waffle-traction rubber outsole provides the best traction, while the cream-colored rubber midsole has an EVA wedge for lightweight cushioning.
