Founded online in 2013, KICKSTW opened its first store in 2017 and its flagship in Melbourne’s Royal Arcade in 2019, growing into a prominent destination for Australia’s sneaker and streetwear community. Building on this growth, we’ve expanded into Sydney with a heavy focus on Korean brands that reflects our passion for innovative streetwear.

01Our story
From a backyard to two cities.
KICKSTW was born in 2013 from a love of sneakers. What started as a simple online store quickly became a well-known name in Melbourne’s fashion scene: we opened our first store in Melbourne’s South East, relocated to the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, and have since expanded to Sydney with a focus on Korean brands. Along the way we have showcased some of the rarest sneakers & collectibles and welcomed big names through our doors, all in the pursuit of making Melbourne a fashion capital.

Where it started
Two international students in Melbourne shared one wild dream: to build the best sneaker store in the city. KICKSTW began online in 2013, run from the backyard of a rental unit.
KICKSTW Pty Ltd
Two years in, KICKSTW became a company. From a rental unit in Clayton, thousands of pairs were sold to customers across Australia and overseas.
Our first store
We opened our first brick-and-mortar store in Melbourne’s South East, and joined Australia’s first Sneaker Con as one of its largest vendors.
Into the CBD
A second store opened on Collins Street in Melbourne’s CBD. We introduced more brands and launched the KS Mystery Box.
The Royal Arcade flagship
Our flagship opened in Melbourne’s historic Royal Arcade: 400 m² of sneakers, streetwear and collectibles in the heart of the CBD, welcoming customers, artists and athletes every day.
Online through lockdown
COVID lockdowns closed our doors, so we went fully online. Our mystery boxes took off, alongside collaborations with creators and celebrities around the world.
A new kickstw.com.au
We relaunched our online store, rebuilt for speed and mobile, so shopping with us online feels as good as visiting in person.
More brands, bigger community
New streetwear and collectible brands joined the line-up, and our community kept growing on TikTok and Chinese social platforms.
Level 1: Korean fashion
We marked Porsche’s 75th anniversary with a cars-and-sneakers exhibition at Porsche Centre Doncaster. On 24 November, our new Level 1 opened in the Royal Arcade, bringing Korean fashion to Melbourne’s CBD with labels including ADLV, Mardi Mercredi, Matin Kim, Emis and Rest & Recreation.
Carlyn comes to Australia
We partnered with Korean bag brand Carlyn as its exclusive retail partner in Australia, and soft-opened in Westfield Sydney at the end of the year.
KICKSTW Sydney
Our Westfield Sydney store celebrated its Grand Opening with Carlyn, bringing Korean street fashion from ADLV, EMIS, RonRon, Matin Kim, The Museum Visitor, Mardi Mercredi and more to Sydney.
