The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 ORIGINAL ‘Large Bubble – Red’, which will release as part of Nike’s 2023 Air Max Day celebrations, revives the original colorway of the performance runner turned sneaker icon, replete with the larger visible Air bubble found on the initial launch shoes from 1986. Similar to the original, this vintage model has a white mesh upper with grey synthetic suede overlays and contrast University Red accents on the mudguard and iconic Swoosh. Molded eyelets and the Nike Air logo on the tongue and heel overlay also include additional crimson highlights. A white polyurethane midsole with an exposed Air-sole unit tucked in the heel provides a cushioned ride and has been restored to its original size.
