While it’s difficult to say who the project’s target audience is, Chitose Abe’s upcoming sneakers are the latest example of her championing creatives she admires. The artist known as KAWS lets the Japanese designer’s now-signature design cues shine, with “XX” accents on the midsole at the lateral forefoot, the tongue label, and the sock-liner being his contributions to the modified Nike Blazer. Although Abe has shown a propensity for bold colour combinations, the Brooklyn-based American artist undoubtedly had a hand in the pair’s colourful and mismatched blue, yellow, red, and green colorway.
