The ‘Mambacita’ Nike Kobe 9 EM Protro pays tribute to Gigi Bryant. The engineered mesh upper of the sneaker has a grey to black gradient, and the Swoosh logo is metallic gold. ‘Gigi’ on the rear heel tab and the Kobe’s shield emblem on the tongue both have more golden embellishments. For a lockdown fit, flywire cables are incorporated into the lacing mechanism. The Lunarlon cushioning of the original is replaced by a drop-in React foam midsole, which is housed within the marbled midsole of the low-top.
