Inspired by Michael Jordan’s famous Wings poster, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Wings was released on 16th May 2017 in a limited of only 19,400 pairs. Michael Jordan created the Wings program to induce confidence among his fans through youth mentorship and this was the first sneaker this concept was applied to. Styled in luxurious materials, design features a premium leather upper with a black base and metallic gold patina, meant to reflect Jordan’s underlying confidence. The branding of the shoe is done by addition of embossed silhouette and Wings on the tongue, while the inside of the tongue features the individual pair number.
