From the “Inside Voices” set, the Chicago-based designer’s follow-up to his “Outside Clothes” collaboration from 2021, comes the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 9060 “Penny Cookie Pink.” This collaboration unveils a brand-new shape that combines elements of the renowned 990 series with vintage running shoes from the early 2000s. The upper has a quilted textile inside, breathable pink mesh, and peach-colored suede overlays. A pink “N” emblem and the words “Inside Voices” are embroidered on the left and right shoe’s back heels, respectively, as branding components. A split ABZORB midsole delivers featherweight cushioning, which is underfoot reinforced by a gum rubber podular outsole.
