The Nike Air Classic BW, previously known as the more straightforward Air Max BW, is making a comeback in shops in its original “Persian Violet” hue. It was last released in March of 2016. The Air Max BW, which debuted in 1991 and was created by Tinker Hatfield (who else), was known for having a bigger Air Max unit, thus the nickname “Big Window” or BW. The BW was sometimes listed as a heritage design despite not having a year designation, even though it is true that the model never achieved the same levels of global acclaim as the Air Max 1, Air Max 90, or Air Max 97.
