Adidas has collaborated with renowned shop Mastermind Japan to remake a number of their most popular designs in the strong, dark aesthetic of the Japanese brand. The entire collection is bursting with Mastermind’s no holds barred personality, focusing on bold contrasts, excellent materials, and minimal yet effective branding. Full suede uppers with ‘X’ shaped lazer cut perforations and mesh panelling, tonal Zig Zag cut stripes, and embossed silver call outs are featured on their version of the ZX 500 OG. It’s finished with a collaboration silver logo at the tongue and the Mastermind’s distinctive Skull and Bones insignia stamped at the heel and a metal bone shaped lace lock.
