The Air Jordan 8 Retro ‘Playoff’ release in 2023 commemorates the 30th anniversary of the sneaker that Michael Jordan wore in 1993 when he won his third NBA title. The legacy silhouette, which was first introduced in 2013 and 2007, has a black nubuck top with a distinctive cross-strap construction for a snug, locked-in fit. Fuzzy chenille tongue patch is embellished with a red Jumpman, and an embroidered ’23’ sits on the vamp. The lateral and medial sides of the “Playoff” 8s’ synthetic overlays are decorated with a red and black brushstroke design. A similar black foam midsole with glossy sides and encapsulated Air-sole cushioning supports the sneaker. A golden Jumpman emblem is visible underneath the forefoot beneath a multicoloured rubber outsole.
