AMBUSH® founder Yoon Ahn teams up with Nike for this release, resulting in a lively design with co-branded detailing and basketball-inspired aesthetics. The collaboration’s third colorway mixes strong colours of Deep Royal Blue with neutral accents of white and black.
The Dunk’s original proportions have been re-imagined in honour of Japanese bike, car, and truck culture, with Swooshes extending past the heel like bike pipes. “I was thinking, ‘How can I make the shoes look nearly like this moving thing?'” Ahn says. A prominent heel counter on the back of the shoe has an embossed wordmark, while co-branded sockliners and tongue tags lend a subtle twist to basic characteristics.
